Recent Reads

A mixed bag of books read the past few weeks, some good some not so good.

Worth the Wait (St James Book 1) by Jamie Beck

If you can’t guess the ending by page 5 ….. So why the “12 Years Earlier” section … sorry I lost the will to look at the next page at that point.

Two Girls on a Mission by Steven W Johnson

Silliness of the endearing kind. If you want to read something with no weight, no social commentary and no long term impact on anything …. This is the book for you.

Sublight by V G James

Lets take a nerdy ham radio fan (and his mates) add some naked aliens, a few nudists, the US Air force, a Senator and the President of the USA and shake it all up together and you get another enjoyable romp in which everything ends up for the best … unless you are the one alien who gets sick. Yeah Fun!

The Travelling Companion by Ian Rankin

A short story from the creator of Rebus, a very different book from the detective stories.  A case of take a pinch of Dorian Grey mix in a generous helping of Jekyll & Hyde with elements of Don’t Look Now. A compelling story set in Paris … worth reading

The Thirty Nine Steps by John Buchan

A classic … very different from the black and white film … The first book in the Complete Novels of John Buchan (down loaded for just 49pence!!) Brilliant story well told. I will be reading the rest of the collection over the next few weeks.

The Kings Traitor (The Kingfountain Series Book 3) by Jeff Wheeler

I rather like the easy escapist writing of much of Jeff Wheelers writing. I have worked through the Muir Wood stories before moving on the Kingfountain so I guess that is apparent to you. While they are aimed at the teenage reader these stories present interesting and twisted plots of murder mystery and magic. I will continue to read these books as they appear.

New Naturist Fiction

This August there has been a flurry of new naturist fiction publications.

Wallace Greensage set his second New Albion story free. The Naked Truth Will Set You Free is a continuation of the story started in his “Who Is This Naked Lady – And What Have They Done With My Wife?” A Really good read it is too.

John David Harding, has produced a very interesting follow up to the Bare Necessities.

Bare Necessities 2.
A very engaging read, well worth reading.

Will Forest released Aglow his second #naturistfiction story, which is next on my reading list

I hear that P Z Walker has Mirror Earth 2 finished and undergoing editing, so that should be with us soon too. Meanwhile I am slowly moving forward with Uncovered Policeman 4.

The Reading List w.e. 29/04

Book wise nothing new ….I carried on with the Muirwood trilogy

Rags, the Uncovered Policeman, continues his journey towards the riches of life, this story finds him and his life partner Bea on holiday together in France. It is not the usual tent in the Dordogne type holiday either!

After the morning briefing, the Sergeant called Addy to one side.

“I have had a memo from HR about the amount of untaken leave on this team. We can’t keep carrying this much leave forward. We will have nobody on duty from Christmas to Easter! It was highlighted that you haven’t taken any this year. Think about taking a break soon.”

That evening the still-buzzing Bea started talking holidays; she had been told to take a holiday, and she wanted a holiday, somewhere nice, warm and naked. To her surprise Rags agreed immediately and suggested a week in mid-September.

“What about that La Jenny place Elaine and Brian went to in the spring?” he continued. “I think we should push the boat out a bit, you only pass your LPC once!”

“You are a wonderful man!” Bea hugged him close. “Let’s get online and book it now.”

Rags booted up his laptop and Googled “La Jenny”. Half an hour later he had some bad news and some good news for Bea.

“OK, start with the bad news, I like to end on the good stuff”

“The bad news is that La Jenny is closed from the end of the first week in September.” But Rags was still smiling, “but I have managed to get us the week at Atlantique Naturisme France which is just down the coast from La Jenny, in a nice Premium Chalet.”

They spent the next hour and a half looking at the ATNAT website imagining that they were there already.

Read This Week 08/04

Misbehavin’ Megan

I have had the pleasure of reading an early draft of Adam Lawler’s next book; Misbehavin’ Megan.

I have enjoyed reading adam’s work in the past , this new  tale proved to be no exception. A good story it should appeal to all sorts of people. A grown up romance free from pornographic detail …. because there is no real action to report.

Due to be published soon a great follow up to:

This is a short story about how Sean and Gill Cutter came to own the Eden Gardens Naturist Resort. It ends at the point where the Uncovered Policeman starts his journey from Rags to Riches.

In this short story we follow the Cutters from their carefree youth through to a realisation of what they wanted to do with their lives. A journey that takes them across Europe until they find themselves  working clothes free for weeks on end. Doing what they were destined to do….

The story is available free for 4 more days. I will extend that time if it is possible, otherwise I will make it available here in all formats as a free-bee.

Read and enjoy …. let world know if you like it and tell me if you don’t!
